“I feel like turning 30 is a significant milestone. I had always thought about doing a funeral themed shoot for my 30th birthday. I first saw the opportunity of working with Natalia on Tik Tok. I loved her portfolio of goddesses and thought, why not? I really wanted to celebrate how far I’d come and I felt like she would make me feel safe. I've always had self esteem issues but Natalia hyped me up so much and it helped me to relax. I was obsessed with the photos even prior to editing. It made me feel really beautiful as I am. I feel like years ago I would have asked you to edit out my stomach lines or my face shape but I actually loved seeing my little stomach and my smiling face.”

“I've always struggled with body image issues. I thought that having a photoshoot, specifically a boudoir photoshoot, would let me see my body and my face through a different and more appreciative gaze. I compared a lot of boudoir photographers before picking Natalia. I liked how soft and feminine her photos looked. I felt like it catered to a female gaze instead of a male one. This was and is perfect for me since I wanted the primary audience and consumer to be me. I enjoyed how delicate I felt in my session. Now when I have negative thoughts about my body, I'm able to argue with it and hit back with "Yeah, but I looked really hot in those photos, so..." It’s very grounding.”
